Abstract

Currently, plastic is concerning serious issue and it is not friendly with environment. The aim of this study investigated extractive solution and ash content in teak leaf and teak leaf plate product. Methodology follow up TAPPI (2002) method T257 cm-02 for the total extractive analysis, National Libary of Medecine (2023) on the High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for extractive in hot water solution. And Ash analysis follow up method T221 om-11. The result showed that the total extractive in solvent solution with hot water solution was 1.9210 % or 2.0938 ±0.0586 g of 10 g leaf particle. The extractive in water solution was low significant of difference length of time soaking. The Ash content less than 4 % it was low significant. The teak leaf plate to be able usage for food packaging because chemical composition was positive for human used and confirm this issue by many researchers.
